             On Sept. 29, Mitchell sent out a letter to several members of the Senate asking them to oppose the continuation of Public Law 45; their replies arrived throughout October.              The Tenth Annual STFU Convention was held at Memphis on November 9 to 11; the papers include a set of resolutions, an address by Charles D. Lewis, Director of the East Central Division of the AAA, and a report by Mitchell. The Proceedings do not appear. The most important resolution passed called for STFU representation on the WMC Regional Labor Management Committees; Clinton S.              A shipment of 150 workers left for New Jersey and reports began coming back to Memphis on how the men liked their new jobs.
