Jessica Govea Thorbourne (1947–2005) was a labor activist, leader within the United Farm Workers (UFW), and educator dedicated to advancing justice, equality, education, and economic opportunity for Latino workers. Fred Ross Jr. (1947–2022) was a California-based labor and political organizer who collaborated closely with the UFW and supported a range of progressive movements. c 1.
