Five bound volumes of "Letters and Documents relating to the Psi Upsilon being chiefly the Correspondence of W. F." (Willard Fiske), 1875-1877. The letterbooks contain correspondence relating to the founding of the Chi, the Convention of 1876 and 1878 at the Xi, the song book of 1877 and catalog of 1878 amongst other Fiske correspondence.

Scope and content Typescript copies of letters of Daniel Willard Fiske to George Allen. The letters are almost entirely concerned with the game of chess - e.g. a chess journal, contemporary chess players (notably Paul Morphy), famous chess players from the past, history of chess, chess bibliography, etc. Fiske also comments on other matters including Know-Nothingism (June 21, 1857), the Fiske genealogy, and his interest in Icelandic history and culture.
