Biographical / Historical
The Haskell Silk Company in Westbrook employed 300 workers in 1907 and was located on the banks of the Presumpscot River, as silk manufacture requires a great deal of fresh water. At one time, Haskell silk products were considered the finest in the country. The sales room was located in New York City.
