Copy of a letter from Kallen to Billikopf; Kallen explains in detail how he came to the idea of cultural pluralism while he was an undergraduate at Harvard University (December 30, 1947). Kallen comments on the final sessions of the Presidential Commission on higher education, on which he is a member (November 6, 1947). Other correspondence in which Kallen discusses such topics as the New School, democracy for communication in school systems, cultural pluralism, the American Association for Jewish Education, Palestine, and the behavior and attitude of the Christian world to Jews. Correspondence regarding publication and personal matters.
