Biographical / Historical

In 1972 Gesa Valk earned a PhD in German Studies and Comparative Literature from Cornell, and was a senior lecturer there until 2001. For 30 years she pursued her research interest, which was the life of Georg Kaiser, a German Expressionist playwright. Gesa is the author of numerous publications and was known as the foremost authority on Georg Kaiser.
