Content Description
34 midcentury sleaze pulps with allusions to Nabokov's Lolita in their titles (including variations LOLA, LITA, and LOTITA), cover summaries ("Jack married Grace for [..] her beautiful teenage daughter!"), or author pseudonym ("Dolores Hays."), or cover design. The majority were published in the 1960s, with several more clustered in the early 1970s; all but two were published after the 1962 release of Kubrick's "Lolita." Some titles follow the pseudo-case-history erotica format, presenting their contents as studies of "sexual psychopath[s]." Several titles advertise "nymphets" or "nymphettes" in their cover while others seem to gesture to the Olympia Press edition, echoing its design and iconic green cover.
