COLLECTION DESCRIPTION
Pencil and ink drawings, 178 of which depict birds and 82 of which depict mammals and reptiles, by Louis Agassiz Fuertes. Drawings vary in size from 4" x 5" to 8" x 10". All bear Fuertes' initials; many also have notes in his hand, in pencil or ink, naming the bird, reptile or mammal depicted in the drawing. Items were originally used in Field Book of Nature Study and other publications by E. Laurence Palmer.
