Biographical / Historical
John R. Healy served as CEO of Atlantic Philanthropies from the years 2001-2007. Prior to this position, Mr. Healy was the first managing director of Tara Consultants Ltd. upon its creation in 1990. He later become a program manager, a position he held up until his transition to his final role as CEO. Mr. Healy led Atlantic Philanthropies’ grantmaking in Europe and South Africa, focusing on areas such as Aging, Disadvantaged Children and Youth, Population Health, and Reconciliation and Human Rights. Healy first met Feeney in 1987 when he was still the managing director of the Irish American Partnership, an Atlantic grantee.
