Biographical / Historical
McCrea was a Senior Vice President of Programmes and based at the Dublin office. He joined The Atlantic Philanthropies in Ireland (formerly Tara Consultants Ltd.) in 1996, and managed the higher education grants portfolio until 2002, which focused on improving universities in Ireland. He was instrumental in developing strong relations with the Irish Government in the education sector, which led to the largest single initiative undertaken by Atlantic in Ireland - the partnership with the Irish Government to improve the research capability of the university sector through the Programme for Research in Third Level Institutions.
