Subseries IIj. Gerald Kraak, 1988-2015

Gerald Kraak was the Country Director and Program Director for Atlantic’s Reconciliation & Human Rights Programme in South Africa. Formerly Atlantic's contact person at INTERFUND, Kraak was hired to head Atlantic's Johannesburg office upon its founding in 2000, and remained in this position until his death in 2014. An award-winning author and staunch activist in both the anti-Apartheid and LGBTQIA+ movements, Kraak's memory has been honored by the annual Gerald Kraak Award award by the Other Foundation in 2016, with funding from Atlantic.
