Scope and Contents
In the early 1990s, Balog realized that humans, too, along with endangered wild animals, were living in an altered state. By merging biology and behavior with technology, Homo sapiens seemed to be turning itself into a new species. Balog called that species "Techno sapiens," publishing the term in Fortune (July 8, 1996) and Time Digital (April 27, 1998).
