Scope and Contents
Six vintage Polaroids. Gift of artist to Diego Cortez. Cortez organized Basquiat's first solo gallery exhibition at Galleria Emilio Mazzoli, which opened May, 1981. Cortez accompanied Basquiat to Modena and installed the show. These were part of about 20 Polaroids Basquiat took in Modena's Piazza Grande during the installation period.
